HBI Bisscheroux exists 40 years!
9 September 2018HBI Bisscheroux was founded by Jean Bisscheroux (1936-2002) in 1978 with the aim of manufacturing and distributing emergency light fittings. Now, 40 years later, HBI is one of the last independent Dutch emergency lighting manufacturers which is still in existence.
With the advent of LED, the market has experienced rapid change. HBI Bisscheroux has been able to keep pace with these changes by developing new LED products, both independently and in collaboration with partners. Our sights are no longer solely trained on emergency lighting. Our field of vision has broadened to include intelligent lighting solutions for public spaces from outside the front door to as far as the public highway. These represent solutions which contribute to a safe and pleasant environment and a more sustainable world.
By walking away with the prestigious ETOP Innovation Award 2011 at the electronics fair in Utrecht, HBI has a proven track record in this. In 2014, the LEDOLOGY concept was launched. LEDOLOGY is a new lighting concept that unites intelligence with extremely durable materials. Lighting fittings with LEDOLOGY-inside combine an extremely long lifespan (> 100,000 operating hours) with low energy use. But what is certainly just as important is that residents feel markedly safer and happier when using our lighting! In this way, LEDOLOGY ensures that both humans and the environment are winners.
